SUMMARY:Jump Start Registration
DESCRIPTION:Jump Start is a fully-funded university experience for incoming freshmen who scored in the 40-60 percentile in the ALEKS placement exam or who placed into ENGLISH 102\, 105\, or 107. \nStudents can choose between Math and academic reading and writing workshops. They will get to know faculty\, learn their way around\, and participate in campus recreation activities. \nThe program runs Monday through Thursday\, between August 8 and August 18. Registration is required.

SUMMARY:MAPS for New Students
DESCRIPTION:Majors and Academic Planning Sessions (MAPS) are held in a group setting and are advisement sessions that are held for new and continuing students. These sessions are broken into two distinct parts. Students will be offered general information pertaining to their registration and will participate in a schedule building workshop led by the assigned academic advisor and faculty mentors.
