DESCRIPTION:PRESENTER: Dr. John Roberts\, Silane & Silane Derivatives Scientist\, Research & Development – REC Silicon \nABSTRACT: Solar electrical power generation continues to be a promising contender for the displacement of petroleum-based electrical power\non a meaningful scale\, in terms of both the available supply of energy and the cost and potential scale of implementation. Solargrade\nsilicon\, the primary commodity required for solar panel construction\, was once made only in energy-intensive batch processes\,\nimposing substantial cost constraints. This material can now be produced in significant quantities in an energy-efficient\ncontinuous process\, a truly disruptive technology that will impact the economics of solar electrical power generation in a fundamental\nway. Both will be held at the ��ҹ�糡 East Auditorium. \nThe reception will be from 5:00 -5:30pm in the foyer outside the East Auditorium and the book overview will begin at 5:30pm in the East Auditorium \nMs. Waisman will be  on hand to sign books and the book can be obtained via Amazon and other book stores. \nThere will be a limited number of books on hand at the event for purchase.
