The student recreation facility, now located in Floyd 136, now resides in an expanded space, which features cardio equipment including treadmills, an elliptical, a stair-stepper and stationary bikes, in addition to standard weight and other gym equipment.

The added space also allows the campus to operate its outdoor recreation program out of the same facility. In addition, nutrition and fitness resources have expanded through the universitys new partnership with Provision Nutrition.

Provision Nutrition is located inside the Den recreation facility and provides body composition, sports nutrition and weight loss services. The facility also features a BOD POD, which allows participants to measure their lean body mass, fat mass and resting metabolic rate. Individuals sit in a chamber that uses whole-body densitometry to determine body composition. Tests typically take about five minutes and assess weight, body fat percentage, lung volume and more. Provision Nutritions services are available to the general public.

Kelly Sherman, a Provision Nutrition nutrition consultant, said she is elated about the partnership and to be able to work with students, faculty and community
